The Commission of the City of Rozemffil met in reGular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
buildin/!, Wednesday afternoon, ,July 22, 1953 at 1:00 01 clock F. M. Present were Mayor Secor,
Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk
when the followinf': proceedinf';s were had:
Minutes of the la st rezular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded
by Corrunissioner Erwin, that the minutes be apI-roved as read, and the motion was carried by the follow-
inG Aye and No vote: those votin[ Aye beirH; Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those
voting No, none.
Traffic Survey
H. c. Helland, Plannin.,. Surveyl~n~ineer, Paul DeVine of the State Highway Department and R. M.
Arenz of the Rureau of l'ublic Roads, were present to discuss tile proposed traffic survey for The City
of Bozeman to ber:in the first week in August. The purpose of the conference was to discuss points which
should be considered in the traffic survey and in the proposed traffic control plEi.rls which will be
developed from that survey. At the request of these eng;ineers, the Ci ty Commission and City Manae;er
sug:R:;ested the following points which should be e;iven special consideration:

Dea r Sirs:
A definite cut-off and reconcilement of City of Bozeman
funds was made as of the close of business July 16, 1953.
From chis cut-off it now apnears that the shortage in c1 ty
f\mds amounts to apcroximately $82,052.91.
We recommend chat the supervision of' the city accounts be
returned to the proper city officials as of ,July 17, 1953.

For a number of years, the General Fund and Street Fund have been combined in the records and
accounts of this city. In a preliminary vel"bAl report of A. J. K81berf~' Deputy State gxaminer, he

The Director ()f Fi nar,ce was instructed to tAke the necessary steps to carry' out thi s recommendation
effective as of July 1, 1953.
