I want to comment on the North Grand Housing Project (17‐186). I'm not in favor of this project. While
I'm sure the project meets the zoning codes I don't think this is appropriate for the neighborhood. This
project is a complete redo and is encroaching on the northside neighborhood causing a detrimental
atmosphere to the very character of the current area. Putting a 5 unit block of residences on a postage
stamp lot ruins what makes the area attractive. While I haven't actually looked at the plans I would bet
that the design will make the structure stand out and not blend with the existing architecture of the
neighborhood. The density infill of the larger buildings in the downtown area is somewhat tolerable but
even though this is a smaller project it shouldn't be constructed. I don't know what the boundary is but
it should be at Lamme so that anything further north remain low density residential. Thank you. If this
