The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday afternoon, September 24, 1952, at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Secor,
Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace ~ld the Clerk
when the f0110winr, proceedings were had:
I Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded
by Commissioner Lowe, that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was carried by the follow-
ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Con~issioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin;
those voting No, none.
Bond of A. W. Coleman - Inspector
The bond of Archie W. Coleman as Plumbing Inspector in the amount of $1,000.00 was presented.
The Bond was approved as to form by the City Attorney, whereupon, it was moved by Commissioner Lowe,
seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the bond be approved and accepted and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin;
those voting No, none.
Public Hearing -- S. 1. D. No. 366
The Manager stated this was the time and place set for the hearing of protests to the creation of
Special Improvement District No. 366, sanitary sewer in the first alley east of NOrth Seventh Avenue from
Aspen Street to the City Limits. He presented the affidavit of publication of the Notice to property
owners, and the clerk's mailing certificate that all property owners have been notified. There being
no one present to protest and no protests having been filed, it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded
I by Commissioner Erwin, that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the resolution creating the
di strict, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor
Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none.
Explosion -- City Yards
The Manager reported to the City Conwission on the explosion of an oil storage tank in the city
yards at Rouse & Lamme on September 22, 1952. He explained that an employee of the F. L. Dye Company
was engaged in installing a new thermostat in the oil tank and was testing the installation at the time
of the explosion. Damage and claims filed against the City of Bozeman were discussed, and it was
moved by Commis s ioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the Clerk be authorized and ordered
to file said claims against the F. L. Dye Company and the motion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting
No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe and
I Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none.
