The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday afternoon, November 12, 1952 at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Secor,
Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Krwin, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk
when the following proceedinEs were had:
I Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded
by Commissioner Erwin,that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was carried by the follow-
ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commiss ioner Erwin; those
voting No, none.
Purchase of Loader Attachment for Tractor
The City owns a Fordson tractor. The Street Superintendent and the City Manager have investigated
a "Loader" attachment for this tractor with which, they believe, profitable labor can be effected in
removing snow from driveways and crosswalks and other loadin~ operations. The cost of the loader is
$640.00 and they recommend its purchase.
It wes moved by Conunissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the City Manager be
authorized to purchase thi s loading attachment end the motion was carried by the following, Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those votin[ No,
none.
Reports
The following reports for the month of October, 1952 were presented:
Sanitary Inspector Buildin[ Inspector Plumbing & Gas Inspector
I It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the reports be accepted
and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the followinc Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none.
Parallel Parking
Mr. Bert Griffin and Mr. Earl Jennings appeared to rerort that the Directors of the Chamber of
Commerce have stated that the Trans}ortation Committee of the Chamber will assist the City in gettinG
information to citizens regarding parallel parking.
Methods of getting information about parallel parking to the people were considered and a panel
discussion over local radio stations was sue:e;ested as one of the first means of gettinr the proposed
parking plan before the publio. The City Manager was instructed to organize and arranGe for such
a radio program.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe. that the meeting adjourn, and the motion was
carried by the followinf; Aye and No vote: those votinr, Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe,
and Commissioner Erwin; those votinro No, none.
