Wednesday afternoon, November 26, 1952 at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin. City Attorney Lovelace find the Clerk when the followinr, proceedings were had: I Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Corrmlissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the minutes be arfroved as read, and the mot ion was carried by the follow- in~ Aye and No vote: t16se votin~ Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none. Request for Parking Space for Handicapped Mrs. Effie Chauner appeared before the Commission to request that some emerr,ency rerulation be made for renting parkin!'; space on a temporary basis for physically handicapr;ed persons during inclement weather. She stated that icy condit3_ons of sidewalks end crosswalks durinr: winter weathe r makes it very dangerous for handicapped persons to walk very far from their parked cars to their work. Mrs. Chauner was informed the City Commission could not legally rent parking: space but that, in emergency cases, special consideration could be given ca.rs of handicafped persons. D. 367 The mAtter of purchasinp; the material for the construction of Special Improvement District No. 367, water main on North Seventh from Durston Road to the city limHs was discussed. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Corr~issioner Erwin, that the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to advertise for b ids for the cast iron pipe and fi ttings needed in the construction of Sfecial Improvement District No. 367, and the motion was carried by the follOWinG Aye and No vote: th 0 s e voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwinj those voting No, none. Legislators to Meet with City Commission It was decided to set the date of December 24, 1952 as the date to invite all state legislators from GAllatin County to meet wi th the City Commis sion and di scuss proposed legisle tion affecting cities and towns. Adjournment .
