HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-02-27 t09 Bozeman, Montana February 27, 1952 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, Februa~ 27, 1952 at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, City Manager Henderson, and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had: 1 Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the minutes be a~proved as read, and the motion was carried by the follow- ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. LCA Fraternity Help Week A letter to the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity was read, thanking and commending their organization for the redecorating of the Beall Park Building during their "Help Week". Fire Protection Outside City Limits The Manager reported that a request has been made for the City of Bozeman to publish a statement setting forth their policy of fire protection outside the city limits. After consideration, it was decided that it should not be necessary for the City to make a public statement in this regard, and it was moved by Co~~issioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the City Manager be authorized to submit a letter to the inquirer setting forth and clarifying the city's position in regard to answering fire calls outside the city limits and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. I Garbage Collection at Fraternity Houses The collection and care of garbage and the charge made to fraternity houses for its collection was discussed. Resignation - Stone - Board of Adjustment The written resignation of F. L. Stone as a member of the Board of Adjustment was read. It was moved by Conmdssioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that action on the resignation be deferred until a later meeting, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Adjournmen t There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Cormnissioner Lowe. seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the meetinr, adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those votinE Aye being Mayor Secor.
