HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-09-05 60 Bozeman, Montana September 5, 1951 The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Cormnission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, September 5, 1951, at 1:00 o'clock P. M. fresent were Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor, Commissioner Healy, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Healy. seconded by Commissioner Secor, that the minutes be approved as read,. and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those votinG Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Claims for the Month Claims Nos. 1854 to 2084 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows: General Parking Meter Wate r S. D. S. Revenue Library Fark Cemetery Band Garbage W-H Tax Police Reserve Cemetery Suspense $16.108.27 948.61 4,954.33 6,348.76 1,012.28 3,366.17 2,119.75 1,321.45 1,982.05 2.128.40 86.15 210.00 Total - ~40.586.22 The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful claims Bbainst The City of Bozeman and recommends the. t warrants be drawn for their p.ayment. After examination of the cle.ims in deteil by the City Commission, it was moved by Corrunissioner Healy, seconded by Commis- sioner Secor, that the claims be arproved and warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by the followinG Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No. none. Re}'orts The following reports for the month of August, 1951 were presented: Cashier Librarian Sewage Flant Operator bliee Chief :Poliee Judge Fire Chief Water Collector It was moved by Commissioner Secor. seconded by Commissioner Healy, that the reports be accepted and ordered file d and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Cost of Water in Middle Creek Froject The following informs. tion regarding the cost of we. ter being purchased b;,{ the City in the Middle Creek (Hyalite} Froject was given by the City Manager: Contract to purchase 500 acre feet of water $17.624.05 Contract to l;urchase 550 acre feet of water 10,386.45 J'e;yment can be made on these contracts at the r ate of $1.96 per acre feot per year over a period of 30 years. The interest rate on the contract is 4%. It was rerorted the maintenance assessment for 1952 has been set at 29.i per acre foot. Stalls for City Taxi on North Tracy Avenue Mr. tred Skoor.; of the City Taxi Ii resented a written request for parking stalls as verba.l1y requested at the meeting of August 29, 1951. The City Manager stated a verbal protest has been made against use of a s tall a t Main Street and Trac~i Avenue for taxi service. Mr. SkooG requested another taxi stell in lieu of' the one at the corner of Trl3ey and N18.in, at a convenient location for the Fublie, and the fossibilit.y of a stall on North Viillson at the Baxt.er I Hotel 'Ilas given cons ideration and taken under advisement.
