of the North Side Market aI-peared before the Commission to protest the estnbli.shinl, of two taxi stands
on North Tracy. They stated thRt eliminating these two rerking SFaces will be detrimental to their
businesses And sUGgested that the taxi compmy use the lot in Gonnection wi th the bus del,ot for their
rerking. They also stElted that the two-hour meters north of the Hlley on this street ke:pt the larking;
op-Aces in this /;1re8, occur;ied for H longer reriod than should be permitted where there are business
houses.

Easement for West Sanitary Trunk Sewer -- Bozeman Canning Camp-any
The ri;::;ht-of-W8Y easement with the Bozeman CsnninL COITl,Fnny for the west senitary trunk sewer to
cross their rroperty was rreoented.I'he easement was arrroyed as tn form by the City Attorney, where-

Easement for West Trunk Sewer -- Houser
The right-of-way easement wi th Roy ond Stella Houser for the west sanitary trunk sewer to cross
their rroperty was rreserlted. The easement was an;roved 9S to form by the City Attorney, whereupon,
it was moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Heely, that the Mayor and tbe Clerk of
the Commission be authorized to siGn the easement for the City of Eoz.eman, and the motion was carried
by tl:e followinc Aye and No vote: those votinG Aye being Mayor Lowe, C ommis si oner Seco I' and Conunis-
sioner Healy; those voting; No, none..
Bids for Fluoridation Equipment
The Manager stated this was the time and ~lace set for the opening of bids for furnishing fluorida-
tion equipment for the city's water SUI-ply. He presented the aff'idavi t of publication of the Notice
to Bidders, whereupon, it was moved by Com:.1issioner Healy, seconded b;y COrrL'1lissioner Secor, that the bids
be opened and read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; tbose voting Aye
being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.

Building Fermi t -- Ray Genty
The Manager rerorted that Mr. Ray Genty proposes movinc a building to be used as a dwellinc onto

the property at the corner of North Grand and West feech Street. The property has a lOa-Loot frontals
on North Grena Avenue end is 150 feet deep. The plat on the 8f plication shows the proposed buildinG
so located as to provide only eleven feet between this buildinG &nd the house now located on this tract.
He stRted the. t Mr. Genty will sign a statement that it was his intention to move or reconstruct the
build ing LOW on the tract to rro',dde the yard space as required in the Zoning Ordinance. The Commis-
sion stated that. provided the zoning requirements are met within tvo years. the City ManaGer could
issue a moving and building permit to Mr. Genty.

A request from Margaret Hileman. Librarian. to attend the Pacific Northwest Librarian Association
Directors meetinc in Spokene. October 1 and 2. was read. It was moved by Commissioner Healy. seconc'ed
by Conunissi oner Secor that. it being in the publ io interest. Miss Hileman be authorized to attend th is
meetinl and her expmses be paid from the Library FUnd. and the motion was carried b,y the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healyj those

Request for Taxi Stall on NOrth Willson
A written request of Fred Skoog of the City Taxi WB.S read asking the establishment of a taxi

stand in the first perking space north of Main Street on the west side of NOrth Willson Avenue. 'rhe
Manager stated that. unless there were objections. he proposed to ::;rant this request. It was moved
by Commissioner H8aly. seconded by Conunissioner Secor. that the establishiYlS of a taxi stop et this
location on North Willson Avenue be sI;proved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Heal yj those voting; No.
none.
Governmental Day at City Hall
The Manager reported that a Boy's Governmental Day sponsored by the Kiwanis Club would be
held Monday. September 24. 1951. and officials of the City of Bozeman are co-operating in this
project.
City Manager to Billings
The Manager asked permission to be in Billings from September 19th to September 22nd to
attend to personal affairs and to consult with Billings city officials on city affAirs. It was moved
by Commissioner Secor. seconded by Commissioner Healy. that this absence of the City Manager be
authorized and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being lViayor
Lowe. Commissioner Secor and Corrunissioner Healyj those voting No. none.
