'rhe Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Com.mission Room,
City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, December 19th, 1951, at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Present
were Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor, Commissioner Healy, City Manager Henderson, City At-
torney Lovelace and the Clerk when the fOllowing proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was mOlTed by Commissioner Healy
seconded by Commissioner Secor that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner
Secor and Commissioner Healy; those v0ting No, none.
Applicntion for Beer & Liquor License
The applicationsof the Rocking R, 211 East Main, for a city beer and a city liqu.or
license were presented and read. It was moved by CGmmissioner Secor, seconded by Commis-
sioner Healy that the applications be approved and the license issued and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commisstoner
Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Use Permit for Phone at Lake
A Use Permit for the Forest Service covering the telephone to Mystic Lake was ore-
sented. It was mOfed by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Secor that the City
Manager be authori~ed to sign the permit for The City of Bozeman, end the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner
Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
City Trucks to Collect Scrap Metal
A communication from the Butte office of the National Production Authority was read
regarding establishing a program for collection of scrap metal and tin cans. After con-
sideration, the use of city trucks to make the collections was approved if the Boy SCC)uts
are interested in such a collection program.
Fire Chief McCrosson to Return to Duties.
Mr. John McCrosson presented a letter of release from Dr. C. C. Seerley stating that
he could return to work as Fire Chief, the first of January, 1952.

The following reports for the month of November, 1951 were presented:
Cemetery Board
Cashier
Director of Finance
and the report of the Director of Finance for the month of October, 1951. It was ~oved
by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Secor that the reports be accepted and
ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting
Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Detention Cell
3eDt for Water Treatment Building
The construction of a dentention cell for unruly prisioners and the matter of heating
the addition to the water treatment building at the South Side Reservoir were discussed.
Action was deferred on these matters until a later date.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commi ssioner Healy, seconded by Commis s iOD()r Secor tha t the meeting adjourn and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vo te; those va t ing Aye be in c. Mayor Lowe,
Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; thooe vottng No, none.
