Sale of Special Improvement District Bonds Kos. 401, 403. 404 & 405 This was the time and place set for sale of bonds of Special Improvement Districts r.umbered 401, 403. 404 Hnd 405. Affidavits of publication of separate notice of sale of the bonds of each of the Rbove numbered districts were presented. Each bidder qualified himself by derositing: bic security with the Clerk of the Commission. Mayor Erwin announced the Commission was ready to hear oral bids for the bonds of Special Improvement District No. 401. The Meyor announced the Commiss ion was ready to hear bids on the bonds of Sp,ecial Improvement District No. 403. Street 4% 20.00 It was moved by Commissioner Berg. seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the bid of Arnold HUFpert being the lowest and best bid, it be accepted and bid security be returned to the unsuccessful bidder and the motion was carried by the following Aye and }:o vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson and Commissioner Berg; those voting No. none. , The Mayor announced the Commission was ready to bear bids on the bonds of Special Improvement District No. 404. Claims for the Month Claims Non. 2059 to 2376 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows: ( Th c s e claims include Estimate No. 12 of Haggerty-Messmer Co. for construction on the Water Improvement Project in the amount of $42,088.07, which reduces their retained reserve from 10% to 1%, a net amount of $3,582.32. The claim was accompanied with letters from the principal suppliers stat- ing that nIl outstanding accounts have been paid by the Contractor and approving the reduction of the reserve, and an approv,"\l from the surety company to reduce the reserve was also read.) After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commission, it was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Berg, that the claims be approved and warrants issued for their payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson and Commissioner Berg; those voting No, none. An inventory of such material accompanied the claim. It was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Berg, that action on this claim be deferred until actugl check of the material against the I inventory is made and that the claimant be informed that, if the inventory is found to be correct, the City will look with favor on the purchase and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson and Commissioner BerG; thone voting No, none. Affid2vit of publication of Notice of Hearing was presented. No one was present to ,165 be beard on this proposed ordinance and accompanying annual budget and no one had made any inquiry or protest regarding it. It was moved by Commissioner Berg, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the resolution be passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson and Commissioner Berg; those votinc; No, none. Recent rebuilding of sidewalk and curb has decreased the length of this space to where no more than one vehicl0. can safely be parked in it. Exten~ed observation has shown that there is not actual need for a "Taxi Stand" at this location and the City Manager recommended that it be discontinued.
