tLe Commiss ion [ioom, City Hall Build5 ns, l\""moay evening, AUgURt 25th, D5c, at 7:30 o'clock f.M. Fresent
were Mayor Srwir'., Commissioner Swanson, Commissioner Berg, ei ty r~:aneger Hel"lderson and the Clerk.
The purpose of the meeting; was to meet jointly with the Bozeman Ci ty-Courty Flarning BO~Jrd to con-
sider extending the city limits to take in certain lands ebuttiq:.; or neBI' the city limits on the 'lIes t. I

Mayor Srwj~. ex[olained that owners of Clevelend sub-division ant' owners of other lands west of the
ci ty have erI-lied for and are particularly anxious to have their land br~)ught into the city so thet t!-,ey
can start construction of residences in these ar"!as im::nediately and connect to city water meins wLich
are available to those lands. It was extlained further that, since the Clevel and sub-divis ion and other
of the lends i,nvolved pre rlot contig,uous to the present ci ty limits, it will be necessary to have inter-
vening lend joined with those lands to make them e,n additior. to tbe city.

., After extended discussion, tbe Bozeman City-County Flarmi!:'g; Bo :rd unanimously edor,ted a motion to
"arprove and recommend to the City Cormnission the annexation to the City of Bozeman of tLe following;
described tracts of land:
L BozE'!T:an Figh School tract of arrroximately 27 /'Icres, contiguous with the existing western
city limits of the City of Eoze,um on 1\ortli :~leven th Avenue; I
2. School'District No.7 tract of 91proximately 10 acres, contiguous 'Ni tb the westerly northern
boundry of the Bozenan High School tract;
3. Cleveland Sub-divisiorl of approximately 4 aeres, contiguous wi th the western boundary of the
Pozemen High School tract;
4. Approxim'C tely 8 acres of the Marguerite Kirk proFerty contiGUOUS with the western boundary
of the Cleveland Sub-division and bounded generdly on the west and north by the present
Westlake irrigation ditch;

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it WAS moved by Com-
missioner Swanson. sec)nded by Commiss ioner Berg th, t the meetir-g acjjourn, and the moti~m was cnrried by
the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being lV:ayor Erwin. Commissioner Swanson and Commissj oner
Berg; those voting No. none.
