Extension of Water Service - 405 South 5th
Isam Love, 405 South Fifth Avenue, was present relative to problems arising from renewal of the
water service to his property. In addition to water service to his residence at this address, the
service has for many years been extended to a small building on the rear of the property which is used
as a combination apartment and garage. The water line to this building was taken off ahead of the
meter. In view of the pol icy of this City not to permit separate buildings used as residences to be
conneoted to a single water service, renewal of this service is oonsidered as not complying with that
policy. Sinoe the apartment in question is very small and has been served with water for many years,
I the City Manager was direoted to permit the service to be oontinued contingent on its being connected
to the house side of the meter.
