Dear HONORABLE CARSON TAYLOR,
Every person in Montana needs the transportation system.Throughout our state,our experiences with the
transportation system are as diverse as our requirements of the system. The Montana Department of
Transportation strives to provide a transportation system that meets the needs of all Montanans.
I am writing to ask for your help in improving our understanding of various stakeholder views on our
state's transportation system. The best way we know how to do this is by asking people throughout
Montana to share their thoughts and opinions with us. Your organization has been chosen again this year
as key to helping us in this study.
This year,we hope that you will be able to complete the survey on the internet so that we can summarize

If you do not have internet access or would prefer to take this survey in a paper version,we will send a
paper survey in about three weeks to persons who have not taken the survey online.
Your responses are voluntary and will be kept confidential. Responses will only be reported in aggregate;
no individual responses will be tied to any identifiers. If you have any questions about this survey, please
