The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in a special session, pursuant to call of the City Manager,
in the CourtRoom, City Hall Building, Monday, September 30, 1957 at 1100 0' clock P. M. Present were
Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Berg, City Manager Henderson, Administrative Assistant

The Mayor stated this meeting has been called to open bids on the following Special Improvement
Districtsl Nos. 385, 386, 389, 390, 391, 392, 393, 394, 395, 397 and 398.
Commissioner Berg suggested that in order to expedite the reading of the bids that only the total
bid on eaoh district would be read. A complete bid tabulation will be made available to all bidders
before bids are awarded and, after the reading of the bids, bidders may see any contractor's bid
sheet. All present were asked if this met with their approval or if they had any objections to this
procedure. There being no objections heard, it was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner
Berg, that this procedure be followed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No votel
those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and Commission~r Berg; those voting No, none.
It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Berg, that the bids be o~ened and
read, and the motion was carried by the following ~e and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor

A total of sixteen (16) bids were submitted some of which covered all eleven (ll) districts, some
of which covered all paving, some of which covered only paving in certain districts and six (6) of
which covered only District No. 392 which was for construction of drainage system only. Since these
bids are tabulated in detail by Harold Hoskins & ABsociates, Consulting Engineers on the Projeot, it

was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Berg, that the tabulation of all bids as
prepared by Harold Hoskins & Associates be incorporated in these minutes by referenoe to make them an
offioial reoord the same as if they were set forth in fUll herein and that these minutes oarry the
following tabulation which shows the three (3) low bids for each district and the motion was oarried by
Commissioner Berg; those voting No, none.

Adjournment
It being considered necessary to give the consulting engineers additional time for detailed study
of these bids before they are requested to make their recommendations regarding them, it was moved by
Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Berg, that this meeting be adjourned and the motion carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and
Commissioner Berg; those voting No. none. ~ ~
