M. Present were Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erw1n~ Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Henderson, Administrative Assistant Sales, City Attorney Lovelace and the Cle rk. The following proceedings were hada Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Erw1n~ seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion as carried by the following Aye and No votea those voting Aye being llayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and Commiss ioner Lowe; those voting No~ none. S. I. L. D. on East Main from Broadway East to Switzler Avenue Communication was read from the Montana Power Company asking whether or not the City would partici.. pate in a lighting district on East Main Street from Broadway to Switzler Avenue and~ if so~ to what extent. The matter was tabled until the next Commission meeting to allow time to gather infol'11Ultlon to determine the benefit of such a district to the general public and by what percent the City should participate. Petitions for Paving & Drainage in Portions of West Park & West Side Additions Geo. Sikonia, Ed Chauner, G. Widmer, Leo Hoffart and Phil Luginbill, owners of property in the west portion of the city, appeared before the Commission to present petitions for paving and drainage in sections of West Park and West Side Additions. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the petitions be referred to the City Engineer for stu~ and recommendations and the preparation of data leading up to the passing of a resolution of intention to create an improve- ment district, and the motion carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Water Expansion Project -.. Relooation of Transmission Line John Morrison, Morrison..Maierle, Inc.~ appeared before the Commission and the possibility of relocat- ing the transmission line across the Don Nash and Murray Nash properties was discussed. Mr. Morrison was instructed to investigate relocating the line across these properties on a gravity flow line and to report to the Commission. Use of Main Street by Jaycees for Vehicle Safety Check Request has been received from the Bozeman Jr. Chwnber of Commerce for permission to use a portion of Main Street approximately 200 feet long in front of the High School to conduct Motor Vehicle Safety Check on May 22~ 23 and 24. 1957. It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that permission be granted~ and the motion carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson~ Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Clean-Up Week It was recommended by the City Manager that the week beginning May 13th be designated as.Clean-Up" week. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the week beginning May l3th, 1967 be designated as the annual "Clean-Up" week, and the motion carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson~ Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No. none. Bonds _ Montana Plumbing & Heating - Plumber's & Gas Fitter's Master Plumber's Bond in the amount of $500.00 and Gas Fitter's Bond in the mnount of $2,000.00 for MOntana Plumbing &: Heating~ l:nth apI-roved as to form by the City .Attorney, were presented. It was moved by Commissioner Erwin. seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the bonds be approved and acc~pted, and the motion carried by the following Aye and No vote; tl.ose voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, 1 1 1 '- Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No~ none. 'Jf'r: f.... )d Resolution i836 - Intention to Create S. I. D. No. 390 - Paving in Marwyn Addition The City Attorney as instruoted has prepared a resolution of intention to oreate S. I. D. No. 390, paving in Merwyn Addition, and Resolution i836 was presented. entitled: 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION 01" THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION TO CREATE A SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 390 OF THE CITY OF BOZEM.AN FOR THE FURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING .AND INSTALLING A PAVro.mNT PROJECT ON SOUTH CYPRESS AVENUE mOM EAST MAIN STREET TO EAST BABCOCK STREET, ON EAST BABCOCK STREET FROM SOUTH C YFRESS AVENUE TO SOUTH AYLSWORTH AVENUE, ON SOUTH AYLSWORTH AVFRUE FROM EAST BABCOCK STREET TO EAST CURTISS STREET. AND ON EAST CURTISS STREET FROM THE SOUTHEAST COlmER OF' BLOCK "D" OF MARWnl REARRANGEMENT TOmE NORTH..SOUm CENTER LINE OF' BLOCKS DB- .AND "c" OF MARWYN REARRANGEMENT, SAID PAVEMENT PROJECT TO INCLUDE THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF NECESSARY STORM SEWER DRAINAGE, COMBINATION CONCRETE CURBS AND GUTTERS AS REQUIRED, GRAVEL BASE COURSE AS REQUIRED, CRUSHED GRAVEL CUSHION COURSE, AND BITUMINOUS SURFACE COURSE AND OTHER WORK INC IDEN TAL THERETO. It was moved by Conunissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the resolution be passed and adopted and May 29th. 1957 be set as the date for hearing protests~ and the motion oarried by the following Aye and No votea those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson~ Commissioner Erwin~ Commissioner Lowe; those voting No. none. Care 50.00 Tot a 1 i37~124.74 The Manager stated he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful claims against the City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their payment. After examination of the claims in detail and checking against the Claim Register, it was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the olaims be approved and warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commisdoner E~in and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No. none.
