HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-06-17 1 1 1 Bozeman, Montana June 17~ 1957 2S1 Pursuant to call of the Mayor~ the Commission of The City of Bozeman met in special session in the City Hall Building, Monday~ June 17, 1957 at 10;00 o'clock A. M. Present were Mayor Swanson~ Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Henderson, and the Clerk. Bids -- Water Improvement Projeot The stated purpose of this meeting was to further consider bids which were received on June 12~ 1957 for the oonstruotion of improvements and additions to the water works system of the City of Bozeman and, if decision may be reached thereon, to award a oontract or contracts in accordance with such bids. After extensive consideration of this matter~ Commiss ioner Lowe stated that, in his opinion, every reasonable effort had been made by the City to secure reliable and competitive bids, that this competi- tion in the bidding has resulted in very satisfactory bids being submitted and that detailed tabulation and oheck of the bids has been made by Morrison-Maierle, Inc., consulting engineers on the project. Motion was made by Commissioner Lowe~ seconded by Mayor Swanson, that b ids on the wa terw orks project be and are hereby accepted in accordance with the following schedule on which it has been shown by Morrison-Maierle, Inc. that they are the lowest acceptable bids and recommended by them to be the PHASE I best bids submitted: Schedule No. 1 2 3 4 PHASE II Schedule No. 1 2 3 4 5 Alternate No.1 IDescription I Reservoir I Distribution System Improvements I Booster Station I Lyman Creek Reservoir Improvement I Bidder whose bid was accepted I Haggerty-Messmer Co. There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the meeting adjourn, and the motion carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
