M. Present were Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Henderson, Administrative Assistant Salesl City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk. The following proceedings were had: Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Lowel seconded by I Commissioner Erwin, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Request for City Utilities Outside City -- H. A. Bolingerl Jr. Regarding Mr. Bolinger's request by letter discussed at the Commission meeting of November 28, 1956, the City Manager was instructed to f;repare a letter for Commiss ion approval informing Mr. Bolinger that the City's policy of not extending utility services beyond the city limits must be kept in effect, but that, whenever the property in question can be satisfactorily platted and brought into the City, city utilities can be made available to it. Reports '!he following reports for the month of November, 1956 were presented: Police Judge Li bra dan Sewage Plant Operator F'ire Chief Police Chief Water Collector Building Inspector Electrical Inspector Plumbing Inspector It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwinl that the reports be accepted and ordered filed and the motion waS carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting NOI none. I Communication to Painters' Union - Re: City Folicy The City Manager has prepared a letter for Commission approval to Walter R. Patten, Business Agent of the Local Painters Union regarding the City's policy on painting. In the letter the following policies are presented for consideration by the Union: 1. All painting of city owned buildings, exterior and interiorl is to be done only by painters. 2. Annual or I,eriodic maintenance work, including painting traffic markings, parking lot guard reilsl park furniturel mobile equipment, and repair or refinishing of street and traffic signsl can and should be done by regular city maintenance personnel. It was moved by Commissioner Lowel seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the letter be approved and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting NOI none. Street Solicitation by Junior Red Cross Request has been made by the Junior Red CrOSS tha t they be allowed to sol ici t funds on Bozeman Streets on December 8, 1956 for the Hungarian Relief Drive. It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the" request be granted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swansonl Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting NOI none. I Request for Establishment of S. I. P. D. -- Bridger Develof'ment Co. Request by letter has been made by the Bridger Development Company for the establishment of a Sfecial Improvement Faving District in the Marwyn Addition area. Action on the establishment was de- f~rred pending furtller investigation and the possibility of this area being included in a city-wide projeot. Resolution No. 828 - Certifying Delinquent Assessments Resolution No. 828, certifying delinquent taxes to the County Treasurer in the amount of $4049.53 was presented, entitledt A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING CERTAIN SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30TH, 1956, AND UNPAID AS OF THAT DATE, AND CERTAIN OTHER SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS 01" SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30TH, 1956, AND m;p.AID, DELINQ.UEl>lT, AS PROVIDED BY ORDIN~CE NO. 5941 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTJON OF TAXES xx xxx xx, AND 'IRE COL- LECTION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, xxx xx" AND SECTION 11-2233, POLITICAL CODE, R. I It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the resolution be passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. After examination of the I claims in detail by the Commission and checking them with the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowel that the claims be a~proved and warrants issued for their payment, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swansonl Commissioner Erwin and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
