The Commission of' the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City
Hall Building. Wednesday afternoon, January 4, 1956 at 1:00 o'clock F. M. Present were Mayor Swanson.
Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Lowe, Ci~ Manager Henderson, Administrative Assistant Walter Sales,
City Attorney Lovelace and the Acting Clerk, when the following proceedings were had:

Minutes of the meeting of the City Commission held on January 3, 1956, this session being
particularly for organization purposes, were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded
by Commissioner Erwin, that these minutes be approved as read, and the motion was carried by the
Lowe; those voting No. none.

The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful claims

of the claims in detail by the Cow~ission and checking azainst the Claim Register, it was moved by
Corr~issioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the claims be 8pproved and warrants drawn for
their layment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those votinG Aye beirJE;

The following reports for the month of December, 195f were presented:

and a rerort of the Recreation Director on opera.tions of skating rinks.
It was moved by Conunissioner Lowe, seconded by Commiscioner Erwin, that the reports be accerted
and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and l-jo vote: those votir,g; Aye being
Authoriza tion to Purchase Tractor Repairs

The City Manager reported tha t the Caterrillar D-4 Tractor owned by the City will need re:rla cement
of its tracks within the near future. The quoted rrice of these tracks is $555.76 f.o.b. BilUngs.

The Maneger requested authority to purchase these tracks and such other incidental parts as may be
requ ired for this tractor, the total purchase to be less than one thousand dollars.
It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe. that this request be approved
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye beirl('; Jflayor Swanson,

John Morrison, President, Morrison-Maierle, Inc., Meeting; with Ci ~ Commission
John Morrison, President of Morrison-Maierle, Inc., met wi th the Commission to make a verbal report
on pro€ress of his company on plans for improvement and expansion of the Bozeman City Naterworks.

Mr. Morrison informed the Commission that, within two or three weeks, his com~any should be in a
position to present estimates end definite recommende.tions on this froject.
Adjournment
There being; no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Lowe. seconded by Conwissioner Erwin. that the meeting adjourn and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and :No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Erwin,
