The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday afternoon, November 23, 1955 at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Lowe,
Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the
Clerk, when the following proceedings were had:
1 Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Swenson, seconded
by Commissioner Erwin, that these minutes be aI-proved as read, and the motion was carried by the
following AYe and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, Corrmissioner Swanson;
those voting No, none.
Claim - Marshall-Wells Company
Claim No. 3931 of Marshall-Wells Company on the Water Fund in the amount of $670.44 was presented.
This claim is subject to a 2% cash discount. The Manager approved this cla,im as a true and lawful
claim against the City of Bozeman. After examination of the claim by the City Commission, it was moved
by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that it be approved and a warrant issued for
its payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none.
Manager Authorized to Confer with Highway Officials
The Manager discussed the matters of right-of-way widths on West Main Street, and on East Main
Street and the load limit of the bridge over Bozeman Creek on Main Street. These are matters which
have previously been taken up with the State Highway Engineer but definite information has not as yet
been received on any of them.
I It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the City Manager be
authorized to make a trip to Helena, at such time as is convenient to him, to confer with highway
officials regarding these matters and the motion was carried by the following AYe and No vote: those
voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none.
Review of 1955 Building Code
Walter Sales, Assistant Building Inspector, reviewed changes in the 1955 Building Code which has
been adopted as Ordinance No. 784, and pointed out in particular the new schedule of fees for building
permi ts.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the meeting adjourn and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin,
Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none.
