HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-11-17 Public Comment - E. Hert - Black OliveDear City Commissioners: I would like to encourage a "no" vote on the Black-Olive project. While the project may meet current zoning regulations, the building is too large and the potential population of the building, too high. Having only 36 (or so?) parking spaces for as many as 112 (56x2) dwellers, is not enough. I would anticipate much frustration and unhappiness among existing and future residents. We might like to think that people don't have cars or are moving away from owning cars, but at this time, that is not reality. Whether we like it or not, I would venture to say that most people who can afford the rent or mortgage of the apartments in the proposed building, even those who choose to ride their bikes to work every day, own cars. In addition, I think the building at Black and Olive is too large and imposing, to the point of overbearing. It needs to be scaled down in order to fit in better. Thanks for listening!
