I am writing to express my concern about the potential approval of the Black Olive project. The design
remains extremely out of character with the surrounding neighborhood. The lack of parking for building
residents is also a serious concern. I understand the need to move away from massive parking lots, but
a massive building with no parking makes no sense. Please consider the needs of the whole community
before making your decision regarding this oversized building that has clearly been designed to derive
maximum profit for it’s owners. There is a need for affordable housing in Bozeman, and infill has it’s
place, but the Black Olive project does not belong adjacent to the historic district in downtown
Bozeman.
