Message: I am writing again about opposing the proposed building on Olive and Black. Two
items concern me – parking and the change of neighborhood. We only have Uber in town and
not car sharing like in Boulder CO. The bus system is ok but most people want to go places now.
How about getting to Bridger Bowl mid-week? Instead of having a mid-rise placed in a
neighborhood/business area before have true car sharing, lets actually see if car sharing will
work. I think that could be done with the new proposed mid-rise building for Broadway. There is
parking in the area. However,promote car sharing their and see if people are open to the option. I
feel the Olive and Black situation will not support such an experiment. I still feel that a mid-rise
does not fit in the neighborhood. Have all the mid-rises in the north and east of downtown – a
special zoning area for mid-rise buildings. It will be a special neighborhood and the
neighborhood near Olive and Black can keep its character.
