Subject:"No" vote please, on Black-Olive Project

Dear Commissioners:
I urge you to vote against the Black-Olive building as designed. It is inappropriate for the
location due to the neighborhood of single family homes to the immediate south, and allowingit to be built there would set a negative precedent for future development. We need transitional
zones to buffer established neighborhoods from this kind of development.
We need projects that consider the character of surrounding neighborhoods and the investmentpeople have put into their property. The developer of Black-Olive should have better thought
through his design. There are other parcels of land in the downtown area that could work forlarger-scale projects. Just not this one.
