INTRODUCTION
The City of Bozeman is currently implementing the selected alternative for remediation of the
Bozeman Landfill. Tetra Tech is currently contracted to provide construction oversight and other
tasks during and after construction. Since the existing contract was completed, additional tasks
were added to the construction contract resulting in time extensions and the need for additional
oversight.
SCOPE OF WORK
This scope of work additional oversight and operation due to the addition of several items to the
construction contract that was not previously anticipated. Additionally, Tetra Tech will subcontract
with a testing firm to perform a stack emissions test as required by the air permit. Details of the
work are described in the following sections.
TASK 800 OVERSIGHT AND OPERATION
Tetra Tech will continue to supply oversight personnel and to operate the system on completion
with the addition of tasks to the construction contract and extensions of the contract. Tetra Tech
has estimated that approximately 320 hours of field time with some accompanying project
management time are necessary to complete the project. A flare source test will also be
conducted by a testing firm subcontractor (Bison Engineering) subcontracted to Tetra Tech. The
estimated cost to perform the test, with analyses of the collected samples and reporting is
approximately $10,000.
COMPENSATION
A breakdown of costs for Task 800 is contained in the attached cost estimate. The original task
order with scope extensions totaled $425,176. With the addition of this Task 800, compensation
shall not exceed $476,076. The services will be conducted on a lump sum basis as described in
the April 15, 2014 Contract between the City and Tetra Tech.
Special Conditions
Execution of this Task Order constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions contained in Tetra
Tech's Professional Services Agreement with the City of Bozeman, dated April 15, 2014.
