Message: Mayor and Commissioners, After much thought, I believe the Olive and Black project
should be approved. It is in a very good location for high density residential development. I hear
the neighbor's concerns, but think if you live this close to the core of downtown you have to
expect change. Consider this! My brother was visiting from Denver this week and he told me
that some communities are designing parking garages that can be turned into residential
developments, because they expect auto ownership will drop as more people use Uber, car share,
driver-less cars, or want to exist without an auto and live closer to urban cores. He also said that
car share has been very successful in the Denver area. I am convinced we do need to encourage
more people live in our urban center! Thank you, Gary Vodehnal
