The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room. City Hall
Building~ Wednesday afternoon"May 18,1955 at llOO o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Lowe,
Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson, City Manager Henderson and the Clerk, when the following
prooeedings were hadl
I Minutes of the last session were read~ and it was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by
Commissioner Erwin, that the minutes be approved as read. and the motion was carried by the follow-
ing Aye and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson;
those voting No~ none.
Parking of Mobile X-Ray Unit in Metered District Approved
The Mobile Chest X-Ray unit will be in Bozeman during the month of June. Request has been
received to park the unit on Main Street between Tracy Avenue and Willson during the time they are
in Bozeman.
It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, tha t the request be granted
and the necessary meter stalls be capped, and the motion was carried by the following ~e and No vote:
those voting Aye being M~or Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none.
Clean-Up Week for 1955
Mayor Lowe announced that the week beginning May 23rd will be designated as "Clean-Up Week" for
1955.
Bond for Tenth Avenue Sewer, Unit Two
The performance bond of Hagger~-Mes8mer Company on contract for construction of the Tenth Avenue
I Sewer. Unit Two, was presented. 1he bond was approved as to form by the City Attorney. It was moved
by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the bond be approved and accepted and the
motion was carried by the following ~e and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner
Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none.
Investment of Cemetery Permanent Care Funds
There is suffioient cash in the Cemetery Permanent Care FUnd to make an investment of $5,000.00.
It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the Director of Finance
be authorized to purchase $5,000.00 of U. S. Gover.nment, Series K Bonds for the Cemetery Permanent
Care FUnd, and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor ....

Report
1he report of the Director of Finance for the month of April, 1955 was presented. It was moved
by Commissioner Erwin. seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the report be accepted and ordered filed,
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe,
Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No. none.
Sewer Connection 402-410 Montana
I James McReynolds, owner of the property at 402-410 North Montana, is constructing an additional
small residence at this address and. if a separate sewer connection is to be made to this residence.
the sewer line will have to cross Bozeman Creek to the east, and conneotions of this nature are
unsatisfaotory and expensive to install. It was pointed out that the buildings at this address are
similar to a cottage court. After fUrther consideration, it was moved by Commissioner Erwin,
seoonded by Commissioner Swanson, that an exception be made to the standard policy of prohibiting; two
dwellings to be connected to the same sewer line and that it be permitted in this case and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin,

Appointment... "Plan Board" - Initial Membership
Ordinance No. 780, to provide for a Plan Board having become effective and after personal
interview with and tentative acceptance by each of them. Mayor Lowe announced the following appoint-
ment to membership on the Plan Board for ter.ms as shown opposite their respective names:
H. C. Cheever - :3 years
Stanley H. Lemon ... :3 years I
Frank P. Messmer - :3 years
Walter A. Secor - 2 years
Paul D. Anderson - 2 years
Carol V. Henderson - 1 year
Dr. M. L. Hultgren - 1 year
It was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that these appointments
be approved and confirmed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Erwin, seoonded by Commissioner Swanson, that the meeting adjourn and the motion was
oarried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin,
