BOZEMAN PARKING COMMISSION RESOLUTION 2017-02 A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, RECOMMENDING THAT THE BOZEMAN CITY COMMISSION INCREASE THE ANNUAL PERMIT FEE FOR THE MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY AND BOZEMAN HIGH SCHOOL RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, pursuant to Bozeman City Commission Resolution #3803, the Bozeman Parking Commission has jurisdiction over the B-3 zoning district, and any residential parking permit districts created by the Bozeman City Commission; and, WHEREAS, Section 36.04.330 outlines the procedures for establishment of a residential on-street parking permit regulation program (residential district); and, WHEREAS, Section 36.04.350 requires that 'The amount of the fees shall be established by resolution at the level that covers the cost of administration and enforcement of the residential parking permit regulations in the residential area'; and, WHEREAS,the Bozeman Parking Commission endeavors to operate the municipal parking districts, under its jurisdiction, in the most responsible and cost-effective manner possible; and WHEREAS, the Bozeman Parking Commission has conducted a review of the current fee structure, as compared to the cost of administering and enforcing the residential parking permit districts, and finds that an increase in permit fees is reasonable and justified; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Bozeman Parking Commission recommends that the Bozeman City Commission increase the annual permit fee within the residential parking permit districts from $10 to $20. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Parking Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, on first reading, at a session held on the thirteenth day of April 2017.
