September 20, 1961 at 1:00 o'clock P.MI Present I were Mayor Swanson. Commissioner ~taudaher, Commissioner 0edivy, Ass't. City Manager Fryslie. City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. The following proceedings were had: Minutes or the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Mayor Swanson, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson and Commissioner Staudaher; those voting No, none. Minutes of th" Spe",ial Session held September 14th, 1961 were read and it was moved by Mayor Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye __})eing Mayor Swanson and Commissioner Staudaher; those voting No, none. ---- J Designation of Acting City Manager Due to the absence of the City Manager it was moved by ~nt for Commissioner Staudaher. seconded by Mayor Swanson, that Harold 3.S pres- I A. Fryslie be appointed Acting City Manager for the period September 20-22, 1961. Resolution No. 1026 -- Noxious Weeds This was the time and place set for public hearing on levying a special assess- ment of taxes upon certain properties in the City of Bozeman to defray the cost of extermination and removal of noxious weeds for the year 1961. Affidavit of publication of Notice was presented. No one was present to protest and no written protests having beein filed. Resolution No. I026, as presented and provisionally passed at the meeting of September 13th, 1961 was presented for final passage. It was moved by Mayor Swanson. seconded by Com.missioner Staudaher, that the resolution be finally passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson and Commissioner staudaher; those voting No, none. Resolution No. 1027 -- Garbage Assessment 1961 Resolu tion No. 1027 levying assessment for collectIon and disposal of garbage I for the year 1961 in the amount of $59,918.09 was presented, entitled: CO~U~ISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1027 - A RESOLUTION OF THE COM1'~ISSTON OF THE CITY OF BOZEIvIAN, MONTANA, LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF TAXES UPON ALL R~AL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BOZENfAN, COUNTY OP GALLA TnT, STATE OF MONTANA, SERVICED AND FROM WHICH GARBAGE WAS COLLECTED AND Rm.lOVED DURING THE YEAR 1961, TO DEFRAY THII: COST AND EXPENSE OF COLLECTING AND DISPOSING OF GARBAGE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF opnINANCE NO. 696 OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, AND THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE. .178 It was moved by Commissioner Staudaher. seconded by Mayor Swanson. tha t the resolution be provisionally passed and adopted and September 27, 1961, ~ be set as the date for public hearing and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and I and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor swanson' Commissioner Staudaher; those voting No. none. (Commissioner Sedivy arried and was marked present at the meeting) Reports The following reports were presented: Director of Finance ( July) Cemetery (August) Assft. City Manager Fryslie stated the reports appeared to be in order and recommended that they be approved and ordered filed.
