SUBJECT: Approve a Beer and Wine License for 14 North, of Bozeman, Montana to sell Liquor at 14 N. Church St.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Liquor License for 14 North, Bozeman, Montana to sell Liquor
at 14 N. Church St.
BACKGROUND: Sec. 4.02.030. - City license required; application; license fees.
A. No person shall manufacture or sell alcohol in the city, under the provisions of the Montana Alcoholic Beverage Code, or at all, without first procuring a license to do so from the city.
B. The application shall be filed with the city clerk and presented for the consideration of the
commission. The commission may, in its discretion, postpone any action for investigation or other
good cause. The action of the commission with reference to the application shall be recorded in the
meeting's minutes.
C. If the application is rejected, the reasons must be noted in the minute entry, the applicant
notified, and the tendered fee returned.
D. License fees must be payable in advance and shall accompany the application therefore,
whether original or renewal. All licenses under this article will expire at 12:00 midnight of
December 31, in the year for which such license is issued. In the event that a license is granted after
June 30 of any year, the license fee will be one-half of the entire yearly license.
14 North has been using liquor license 06-715-2762-002 owned by Pathfinder Enterprises Inc. since
the restaurant opened. The applicant has now been pre-approved for an All-Alcoholic License from the
Montana Liquor Control Board in the name of MGW Investments LLC. It is license number 06-715-2958-013. This license will replace the current license. The state license will be issued upon final
audit approval from the State.
FISCAL EFFECTS: Accept payment of $500.00 for the calendar year 2017 to allow them to begin

selling alcohol upon approval.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
