Abbott-Stoltzfus - Black OliveFrom:Jill Abbott-Stoltzfus To:Agenda Subject:[SENDER UNVERIFIED]Black Olive Project Date:Friday, March 31, 2017 7:00:07 PM Dear Commissioners, I would like to express my concerns that this proposed development called "the Black Olive"project is inappropriate for this neighborhood. Lack of parking is certainly a concern but so is the height, which can create shadows, and even wind, and lack of views for the neighbors, along with it's overall contribution to an increase of population to this historic neighborhood. It does not fit. This is not right for these neighbors and there needs to be more consideration for why we were all drawn to set down roots in Bozeman. This is not affordable housing. Who is it for?How would these residents in this new development get to our beloved mountains? Buses? I don't think so. Personal vehicles at their convenience. Where are they going to park thesevehicles? Are they really going to carpool or hitchhike or walk 10 blocks to the Fairgrounds carrying their skis or boards and boots to go skiing? Or carpool to go hiking or mountainbiking, cross country skiing, fishing, river rafting or hunting or maybe golfing? Or are they going to just stay downtown and look at the mountains from their high rise views? How arethey going to get their groceries? What if they want to take a road trip? Development in our town needs to be carefully planned for the sake of all of us. Thank you for voting against the Black Olive Development. This is not an appropriate location for this type of development and historic downtown needs to be preserved as it iswithout any further encroachment on residential neighborhoods.
