I'm am writing in response to learning that you have granted conditional approval on the Black-Olive project. I am a homeowner in the area and am disappointed by your decision. We need changes to our zoning in order to protect the transition areas between multi- tenant commercial and single family homes. Developers are motivated to maximize units and maximize profit, so I see them push to the the limits of zoning standards without regard to scale and impact to the surrounding neighborhood. Our city needs design standards that address project scale--something that provides balance to the developers' push for profit. to be continued... And regarding the parking. I'm a fan of car-sharing, but charging $75-$100 for the building parking spaces will most likely result in more cars on the street and coffee money in the pockets of the residents. Thank you.
