Canfield - Black OliveFrom:Sabrina Canfield To:Agenda Subject:PLEASE DO NOT APPROVE THE BLACK OLIVE PROJECT Date:Thursday, March 30, 2017 8:44:01 PM To: City Commission Re: Black Olive Project March 30, 2017 Dear City Commission: Please do not approve the Black Olive project. This project does not fit in this neighborhood:it is too big and too high and will bring too many people into a very small amount of space that does not have enough parking as it is. The proposed lot the building is to be built on is toosmall for a building as massive as the Black Olive. The project is not a good one for this neighborhood. My family home is on the lot on Bozeman Avenue that will be directly adjacent to the Black Olive building if it is built. It bothers me enough that this project has been proposed fordowntown Bozeman and might possibly go through, but the fact this project could go through and would be in my backyard is unthinkable. This building does not belong downtown. It doesnot even belong in Bozeman. Period. It is too big and it is ugly. The design does not fit in with this neighborhood. Someone wanted to buy our house and build an additional story on it. The city said that couldonly be done if they would build three offsite parking spaces. Is the city kidding?! A five story building is being considered that will offer just 37 parking spaces for 70 bedrooms but a singlehouse needs three spaces? This disparity in itself represents corporate greed and should be stopped. Please reject this project for the good of Bozeman’s future. Sincerely, Sabrina Canfield 205 S. Bozeman Avenue
