Dear Mayor Taylor and City Commissioners,
I have hemmed and hawed for many months over how I felt about the hotly contested "Black
Olive" project proposed in my backyard. I am strongly against development sprawlingrampantly across our beautiful valley of the flowers but am just as adamantly against infill
development that borders on juggernaut status. As such I defer to and agree with theconclusions of the Design Review Board dating November 9th and March 8th which were
unanimous votes recommending denial of the application. A reasonable development onthis parcel of land that takes into account compatibility with, and sensitivity to, the immediate
environment of the site and the adjacent neighborhoods will be far better accepted by ourneighborhood than the current proposal. Until that compromise is reached; however, I will
continue to oppose it.
