HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-26-17 Public Comment - R. Brown - DevelopmentDear Commissioners: The legacy that you leave behind and will be felt in Bozeman forever. A vote to fill the downtown with non-descript high rises seemingly satisfies an immediate problem but what does it do to the long term charm and viability of Bozeman? Granted, charm cannot be quantified but to ignore it will color the future of our city. Sensitive development can occur but it requires a long term vision - not a short term fix. Limiting building heights to 4 stories would be a viable compromise supported by most. Already, Bozeman is beginning to look like those places everyone left behind. Why allow it to slip further into that vortex? I am counting on you, the Commission, to listen to us long term residents who have contributed so much to what Bozeman is and vote against the high rise mania brought to us by outsiders who will turn Bozeman into Everytown, USA. Thanks again for you time. Richard Brown
