Message: The Taproom in Bozeman has recently changed its address on its latest permit
application in order to try and get a hard alcohol license. On December 19th the city
commissioners already heard testimony from parents, educators and experts in the community on
why there should not be a bar that serves hard alcohol across from a school. This technical
address thing is absurd and makes a mockery of what is the right thing to do. Serving hard
alcohol is also a change to the original conditional use permit which was only for beer and wine.
Use the power you have to keep our children safe which is what the intent of the law is in the
first place. Do not put the privilege of a business to sell a controlled substance over the RIGHTS
of Bozeman's children to a safe learning environment. Vote no to a full alcohol license to a bar,
The Taproom that is directly across the street from Hawthorne Elementary School. Thanks for
