The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in rogular session in the Commis-
sion Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, December 7th, 196U at 1:00 o'clock p.m.
Present were Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, City
Manager Cutting, Ass't. City Manager Fryslie and the Clerk.
The following proceedings were had: I
Minu tea of the last reglllar session were read and it was moved by Commis-
sioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Staudaner, that the minutes be approved
as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaher; those
voting No, none.
Ordinance No. 818 -- Transition Zone Area Map
The proposed "Transition Zone Area Map" to be incorporated as a part of
Ordinance No. 818, the "Zoning Ordinance"', was again deferred until the next
regular meeting of the Commission to be held on December 14th.
S . I . D. No. 418 -- Change Order No.2
Change Order No.2 to the plans and specifications of Special Improvement
District No. 418 as prepared by the engineer, Harold Hoskins and Associates, supel~-
vising engineers, was placed before the Commission. The order requested nine
additional extensions to permit inlet lines to pass under gas mains on Peach Street
and Black Avenue at a cost of $60.00 oach, or a total of $540.00, and tho change I
of the inlet at Beall and Trac~T from 'l'ype "B" to Type "A" at a sav-ing of $50.00
fro~ the original contract price. The City Manager recommended that the order be
approved and it VIlas moved by Commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner
Sedi vy , that the order be approved as recommended and the motion was carried by
the following Aye and No vote: those Voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner
Staudaher and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Water Meters ..- Purchase
The City Manager reported that the Water Department has need for an additional
supply of water meters and requested authority to place an order for thirty "3/4"
inch and two "1" inch meters at a total approximate cost of $910.00. It was moved
by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the City Manager
be authorized to purchase the meters and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Co~~issioner Sedivy and
Commissioner Staudaher; those voting No, none.
Ordinance No. 829 -- Adopting rtBozeman Municipal Code"
Proposed Ordinance No. 829, prepared by the Ci ty Attorney for tbe purpose of I
adopting the codification of City ordinances, to be mown as the "Bozeman Minicipal
Code" was placed before the COInmission, entitled:

Disposal Plant Project -- Authority to Advertise for Bids
I Completed plans and specifications, prepared by Harold Hoskins and Associates,
Consul tan t Engineers, for the proposed constructlon and repair project (WPC-Mont-50)
I The City Manager explained that

although it is provided that work could not begin prior to April 1, 1961, it is
planned to call for bids in January in order to permit the successful contractor to
order and have on hand at the proper time special equipment to be installed. The
Manager then recommended that these plans and specifications be approved and,
contingent upon receipt of approval and authorization from the Water Pollution
Control agency of the ~lbllc Health Service, the Clerk of the Commission be instructed
to advertise for bids on this project. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded
by Commissioner Staudaher, that the plans and specifications be approved and the
Clerk be instructed to advertise the" Call for Bids" for an opening date of January
11, 1961 as recommended. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye- being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaher;
those voting No, none.

I Report -- Mayor Swanson's Attendance at Nat'l. Municipal League Meeting,
Phoenix, Arizona
Mayor Swanson rendered an oral report on his attendance at tho National
Municipal League Meeting at Phoenix, Arizona from November 13th to 16th. His report
inchlded a description of the Conference, its attendance and the values to be de-
rived by the City in having a representative at such a meeting.
