RE: Public Comment on South Row Project Site Plan, File#17-072
Dear Rebecca Owens,
I would like to submit for your review one issue of public comment regarding the
South Row project, 17-072.
Prior projects by the same developer just one block north along Enterprise Street
have resulted in significant on street parking(both sides of the street) that often times
condenses the road to one lane of traffic only. This problem is exasperated in the winter
months.
I am very concerned about this same problem occurring along the more southern
section of Enterprise directly to the west and south of the this project, and potentially
along Graf street as well. Enterprise and Graf are the only two routes to enter and exit
the Meadow Creek neighborhood where there are nearly 200 homes. I am concerned that
heavy on street parking along these routes could hinder school bus traffic, emergency
services access and safety for general pedestrian traffic as well as the significant number
of kids on bikes.
Please consider that on street parking be prohibited, or at a minimum, very
restrictive in nature. Such as along only the east side of Enterprise, closest to the project,
and well away from intersections for improved visibility, and also overnight parking be
prohibited.
