HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-23-17 Public Comment - E. Kelly - TapRoomTo whom it may concern: The Bozeman Taproom is a family friendly establishment. The "possible" future addition of distilled spirits is 100% in "substantial compliance" with what the Taproom is currently doing. The Taproom currently sells food and alcohol. They were approved for "on premise consumption of alcohol" by the city and the state. The notices sent to the public clearly stated "on premise consumption of alcohol" - not beer and wine. This is a community oriented establishment that should be allowed to operate their business fairly like every other downtown business in the B3 "central business district". Passing judgment based on "fear and unjustifiable claims" is reckless and should not be allowed. As an educator of elementary aged students, I feel that a business that has limits on the amount of beer patrons can consume, whose customers are responsible and respectful, poses no threat to the students of the Hawthorne School. Scared parents blowing a situation out of proportion is not something the city of Bozeman should allow. Thank you for your time, Emma Kelly 316 N 11th Ave Bozeman, MT 59715
