Message: I believe you made a serious error when you approved the initial beer and wine license
for the TapRoom. Now it will be difficult to rectify by denying a full beverage license. The
establishment, with its roof top seating and garage door opening, is not an ordinary
bar/restaurant. I urge you to work with the TapRoom owners to find common ground. Perhaps
they could limit their roof top and open door to hours when Hawthorne is not in session. That
would still give them after 4 PM, weekends and summers to fully run their business. If a
compromise is not workable, then I strongly urge you to deny the full beverage license. Mayor
Taylor, this is very important to all of us with a stake in children and education.
