HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-20-17 Public Comment - ML. Osman - Black OliveTo the Commissioners, I attended the most recent DRB meeting and I hope the issues the neighbors have with parking and the snow non-removal and one way streets are something you are aware of. Thinking people will just walk or ride bikes in the weather we had this winter is very wishful thinking. Parking is a serious problem for that proposed development. Also...someone on the board asked the developer if building a smaller building would be profitable and he said no. Really? Maybe not as soon, but in a year or two more??? And are his profits of more import than the quality of life of the citizens of Bozeman? I realize that you feel accountable for dealing with housing affordability in Bozeman. How many units in the BO will be used as airb&b rentals and how many as crash-pads for Big Sky home owners? That's the word the developer uses himself for those renters. That building is not transitional to the neighboring homes and should not be taller than 3 stories. Please make your decision based on what is best for the community and not best for the developer. It is too big..... Thank you, Mary Lou Osman
