Hello all,
I think I have personally spoke with most of you about our feelings and ideas for what we should
do with the non food mobile vendors. It's been brought to my attention that I should bring a more
creative proposal to you all that would solve the competition, parking and safety issue, other than
the 9pm-2am main street. At this point we've come to a realization that there is low interested for
giving the fashion trucks any daytime hours on Main Street. However after speaking with
Kelsey, owner of Moda Fashion truck we are proposing a saved permitted spot 50' (this fits 2
trucks) thursday-sunday 9-4pm on Rouse at SorOptimus Park. Please see our attached
documents. In addition, I've attached my plan for building a new set of stairs with it's
dimensions. Whatever we need to do to make this happen for summer of 2017 we will do.

Owner and Buyer
Special Permit Request
Non Food and Non Service Mobile Vending Trucks
Hello,
This is a formal request to have reserved two spots, approx 50’ for Non food and
non-service mobile vending trucks at SorOptimus park, from the hours of 9am-
4pm for Thursday-Sunday. I propose an additional fee of $50 for the permitted
park spots, totaling the fashion trucks $250 for the downtown Bozeman, and $250
for the city of Bozeman, equaling a total of $550 for the 2017 annual permit.
This will fulfill the parking issue for the fashion trucks during the daytime hours. In
the current proposal, the retail fashion trucks can’t feasibly vend on main street
from 9pm-2am and finding a middle ground for vending during the day has seemed
to be a struggle for brick and mortar businesses. The side streets are half the
sidewalk depth and we would be parking even closer to brick and mortar stores.
Also because the appeal is best from the back of the truck the trucks can only park
on half the streets so people can see into the truck as they walk down MainStreet,
which is why SorOptimus Park is so appealing. If the fashion trucks had a designated
spot it will give the owners of the fashion trucks a small piece of the pie. We think
this is a fair option for 2017. If we don’t try this option this year we will not have the
factual data or feedback to make a decision for 2018.
Because this requires extra work for parking workers and the city, I volunteer
myself to help make the signs and help monitor them. Whatever it takes to make
this work, we will do it.
