HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-01-20 195 Bozeman, Montana January 20, 1960 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, January 20, 1960 at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Present were Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, City Manager Cutting, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk. The following proceedings were had: .. Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Mystic Lake Drainage - Small Landowner Fire Protection The Commission further discussed a proposed "Small Landowner Fire Protection Agreement" to be entered into by the City and the United States Forest Service for fire protection to be furnished by the Forest Service on City owned land in the Mystic Lake and Bozeman Creek drainage area within the Gallatin National Forest. The Ci ty, under this agreement, to be assessed for the 1960 season at the rate of 3 cents per acre on 5,053.78 acres of its property. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the City enter into this agreement with the Forest ~ervice and the Mayor and the Clerk be directed to sign the agreement for the City and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaher; those voting No, none. Reports I The following reports were presented: Director of Finance Chief of Police ( annua 1 ) Fire Chief (annual) Fire Chief Penttila briefly discussed various phases of his report with the Commission. City Manager Cutting reviewed the report of the Director of Finance with the Commission and stated that all financial operations of the City appeared to be normal at the mid-year period. It was moved by Commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the reports be approved and filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No , vo te : those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher, Commissioner Sedi VYi those voting No, none. Voucher ... HHFA, Project No. Mont. 24-P-3081, Sewer Facilities A voucher designating the City as payee in the amount of $5,700.eO to request paj'"1l1ent by the Housing and Home Finance Agency of advance planning funds on "HHFA, Project No. Mont. 24-P-3081" was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the Mayor be au U"lorized to sign the voucher for the City and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaher; those voting No, none.
