I would like to express my strong concern regarding the proposed development at Black and Olive. This
development is simply too large and out of context for the site. It provides no transition from the larger-
scale buildings closer to Main Street and the residences to the south. I live and work on the north side
of Main Street and already are seeing the impacts of the large developments along Mendenhall in terms
of increased parking pressure, traffic, and blocked views. These sorts of development radically change
the character and charm that define downtown Bozeman. While developers have the right to build,
equal or more consideration should be given to the existing residents who are directly impacted by large
developments such as Black and Olive.
I urge you to deny their application.
