HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-15-17 Public Comment - T. Hatten - Black OliveDear Bozeman City Comissioners,
I am writing to voice my opposition to the Black-Olive Project in it's currently proposed form.
This building, with its lack of consideration for transition and context, would not foster a connection
between our beloved downtown and historic neighborhoods, instead it would be a wall between the
two areas. Additionally, the plans for the building have been rejected twice by the Design Review
Board, as the building mass, scale, box architecture, and height are out of context, incompatible, and out
of character with the surrounding structures and neighborhoods.
I want to see the infill happening in Bozeman comprised of structures that enhance our lives here and
believe that a smaller building on this site would be a wonderful addition to the neighborhood-
particularly if the apartments in it were more in-line with what is considered to be affordable housing
for most Bozeman residents.
Sincerely,
Toyia Hatten
