I am sorry that I cannot attend the April 3 hearing in person but please accept my email comments.
I object to the building proposed at Black and Olive as too tall and out of scale for the neighborhood
with insufficient parking on site. Traffic and parking issues will highly impact the residential streets close
to this development.
While a developer can check off required ‘planning' boxes as his project moves through the process, it is
important to note that this by itself does not guarantee approval.
The NCOD in the Bozeman City/Planning Code allows city to decide each project based on its merit in
regards to the buildings and neighborhoods that surround it.
In this case, I feel strongly that the transition line between business and single family residential in this
area would be better served with a 3-story building like the Blackmore apartments across the street.
And kinder for the residents nearby.
