The Commission or the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commis-
sion Room, City Hall B~uilding, Wednesday, April 20, 1960 at 1:00 o'clock p.m.
Present were Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, City
I Manager Cutting, Ass't. Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk.
The rollowing proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commis-
sioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the minutes be approved
as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaher;
those voting No, none.
Minutes of the Special Session held April 19th, 1960 were read and it was
moved by ComC"issioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner Sediv~ that the minutes
be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher, and Commissioner
Sedi vy; those voting No, none.
Petition -- Close Portion of Lincoln Street
The Commission reviewed the petition filed by abutting property owners to
close Lincoln Street between Grand Avenue and Firth Avenue. After discussing
the matter at length with the City Attorney action was deferred for further study.
I Board of Adjustment --- Schedule of meeting Dates
An extract of the minutes of the meeting of the Board or Adjustment held
April 14, 1960 was presented to the Commission. This extract set forth the action
of the Board of Adjustment to schedl1le regular meetings of the Board, in the future,
on the first Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m., star t ~ fle; l.~orLda y, Me.,. 2, 1960 ;
and tha t no special meeting shall be called, unless it is deemed necessary; and
that scheduled meetings need not be held unless there is business to be considered.
It was moved by Commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy,
that the' action of the Board of Adjustement be approved and the motion was
carried by the rollowing Aye and No vote: those voting A;:e" B~,lng Mayor Swanson,
Commissioner Staudaher and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting NoJ-nqne.
VFW Buddy Poppy Sale set as of May 21, 1960 -

A request rrom the Veterans of Foreign Wars to have their annuB1 Buddy
Poppy Sale on Saturday, May 21, 1960, was read. It was ,'loved", e:'r Commissioner
Sedi vy, seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the request "be granted and the
I motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaher; those voting
No, none.
Request -- MSC Rodeo Club P,arade on Main Street, 2:00 p.m., May 23, , 60
A request from the MSC Rodeo Club for permission to stage a parade on Main
Street at 2;90 o'clock p.m., Saturday, April 23rd was presented. It was moved by
Commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that permission be granted
as requested and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those

those voting No, none.

Upon the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner
Sedi vy , seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the reports be approved and
filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaher; those
voting No, none.
Miscellaneous Walks & Curbs 1960 - Preliminary Report of Order to Repair or
Cons truc t NewiVa lk
The City Engineer, under provisions-and authority of Section 11-967 and
11-2226, R.C.M. 1947, and Ordinance No. 561 of the City of Bozeman, relating to
construction of Walks and Curbs without formation of a Special Improvement District,
submitted a preliminary report for 1960 of the inspection of walks and curbs in
the City and his recommendations. Action was deferred until the next regular
meeting, April 27th, to allow the Commission and the City Manager time tostudy
and review the matter.
Northwest Recreational Conference - Report of Glen White
Recreational Director Glen White reported to the Comnission on the most I
interesting phases of the Northwest Recreational Conference which he attended
at Sun Valley, Idaho.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time,
it was moved by Commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that
the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher and Commissioner
Sedivy; those voting No, none.
