The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday afternoon, November 26, 1958, at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Erwin,
Commissioner Swanson, Commissioner Berg, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk.
The following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded I
by Commissioner Berg, that the minlltes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson and Commissioner Berg:
those voting No, none.
Hearing - Abandoning Parking Maintenance District No. 6
Resolution No. 935 - Abandoning Parking Maintenance District No. 6
This was the time and place set for hearing protests on abandoning of Parking Maintenance District
No.6. Affidavit of publication of Notice was presented. There was no one -presen,_t to protest and, no
protests having been filed, Resolution No. 935, abandoning said maintenance district, was presented,
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, ABANDONING CITY OF BOZEMAN
SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 6 AND ABANDONING THE MAINTENANCE OF STREET PARKINGS
THEREUNDER, PURSUANT TO THE STATUTES IN SUCH CASES MADE AND PROVIDED, AND PURSUANT TO
AND IN CONFORMITY WITH COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 934 AS PASSED AND ADOPTED BY SAID CITY
COMMISSION ON THE 12TH DAY OF NOVEMBER A. D. 1958.
It was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Berg, that the resolution be
finally passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
~ye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson and Commissioner Berg: those voting No, none.
Report I
Report of the Director of Finance for the month of October, 1958 was presented. It was moved by
Commissioner Berg, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the report be approved and ordered filed
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin,
Commissioner Swanson and Commissioner Berg; those voting No, none.
Building - Gallatin Ll~ber Company - Door permitted to open in
Ed Chauner, Secy-Mgr of Gallatin Lumber Company, 237 West Main Street, was present to request
an exception to be made to the Building Code to permit the front door of the newly re~odeled part
of their building to open ttin" instead of "out". He explained that this expensive door has been
extensively damaged by wind twice in the short time since the remodeling was completed. In considera-
tion of the matter, it was pointed out there is no special hazard involved in changing this door
either because of the type of construction or from present occupancy of the building.
It was moved by Commissioner Berg, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the Building Inspector
be instructed to permit this door to open "in" on the condition that, if the occupancy of the building
should be changed at any time, the door will be changed to open "out", and the motion was carried by
the following A,ye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson and
Commissioner Berg; those voting No, none. I
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Berg, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the meeting adjourn and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Erwin, Commissioner Swanson
and Commissioner Berg: those voting No, none. e
