City Manager FrysLie, Acting City Attorney Ange~ and the CLerk. Request Site for Model Plane Events at Old Country Club Neal Weaver and ~lojdDarrah appeared to discuss with the Commission the possibility of a site being provided on the Old Country Club property for fly'" ing model airplanes. It was mutuaL~y agreed that final ~ction be deferred to provide further study of the matter. Discussion Sanitary Sewer Problem at 114 South Sixth Joe vollmer, Jr. appeared before the Commission to inquire into the possibility of correcting the present uns~tisf~ctory condition of his sanitary sewer service line at his residence at 114 South Sixth. Mr. Vollmer was advised the City had made a study of the situation, but in Mr. VOLlmer's behaLf it would make a further attempt to arrive at a solution of the prob..Lem which would be less costly to him. Sodium Silicofluoride Request to call for bids ~e City Manla.ger reported the Water Department has need to repLenish its sup1Jly Qf sodium SiLicofluoride for use as an addi ti ve to the Ci ty' s wa ter supply and requested that the purchase of 5v,UOO lbs., at an estimated cost of $IO.UU per cwt., as a two year SUPPLY be authorized. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the purchase as requested be authorized and the Clerk of the City Commission directed to issue a calL for bids for the purchase and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. S. I.D. No. 429 Acceptance of Contract The certificate of the engineer on SpeciaL Improvement District No. 429, Harold Hoskins & AssOc1ates, stating the construction of paving had been compLeted in accordance with the terms and specifications of the contract by the contractor, Long Construction Co., and recommending that the City accept and approve the project as compLeted was placed before the Commission. I 1 1 The City Manager concurred in the recommendation of the engineer and recommended that the final pajll11ent be made subject to the determination that aLL known vaLid claims against the contractor resulting from the construction had been paid. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the work under the contract with ,Long Construction Company for SpeciaL Improvement I District No. 429 be approved~nd accepted as compLeted and finai payment be made in accordance with the recommendation of the City Manager. Enterprises The City Manager reported th~t Western ueneraL Enterprises had submitted :ro" a request dated Ju.ty L3, 196-4:, asking that it be granted permission to construct ,. street improvements in its West Park Manor Subdivision. After discussion, the City Manager recommended that the proposal of Western General Enterprises , be approved subject to the provision that the work be performed at a grade and cross section in conformity withspecificl:itions as approved by the City Engineer; however, final action on the proposal Was deferred for further study and specific stipulations. 1 Agreement Connect Residence to Sewer Main on Durston Road (.T. H. Border) A proposed agreement to grant James R. Border permission to connect his residence located on the ftEasterly Eighty-five (tl5) feet of Tract bB excepting -t the northerLY One hundred twenty-five (12b) feed of said Tract 5B of Homesites a suburb of Bozeman" to the sani tary sewer s ys tern as cons truc ted in SpeciaL Improvement District No. 432, was presented. As the specific property is outside the City Limits it was incorporated in the agreement that Mr. Border would make payment of all costs of insta1.1ation, payment of an amount of money equal to the proportionate cost borne by property within said Special Improve- ment District No. 432 as computed on an area basis to the aforementioned district, and enter into a formal agreement with the City that his respective property may be brought into the incorporated Lirits of the City without opposition whenever such action is so requested by the City. In concurrence wi th the recommenda tion of the Ci ty Mana-r,er, it WI;tS moved 1 by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the City enter into said agreement with Mr. Border and the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission be authorized to sign the agreement for the Ci ty. The motion was carried by the fOLLowing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commis- sioner Langohr and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. I 494: Building Movers Bond Cotton's House Moving In compLitince Wi~h Cn~pter 9 of tne Bozeman Municipa~ Code, the buiLd- ing movers bond of Cotton House Moving, HeLena, Montana, was presented. The City Manager stated the BuiLding Inspector had recommended approvaL of the bond and the Acting City Attorney htid approved the bond as to form. Authority to Place Sales Booth on Main street (Centennial Band) It was reported that a request had been made for the permission to pLace a sales booth on Main Street for the purpose of seLLing recordings of the Montana CentenniaL Band to defray its expenses to the New York Worold's 1 Fair. In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Co111I't'l.issioner Langohr, that per- mission to pLace the booth as requested be granted subject to the approval of the site by the property owner and the Chief of Police. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none. Authority to hold "Pancake Daye" Kiwanis (Augus t 20 th) It was reported the Kiwanis Club had requested permission to hOLd its annual "Pancake Day" on August 20th, at the usuaol location on South Biack, being the one-half block south of Main Street. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that permission to stage the event be granted subject to the usual restrictions abided by in prior years. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Commissioner sedivy; those 1 voting No, none. Request for Carnival Datos for 1965 Lions Club It was reported the Lions Colub had requested that the week following the week of July 4th, 1965, be reserved for its scheduled sponsorship of a I carnival. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the Club be notified that its request is approved subject to any unforeseen circumstances that may dictate reconsideration and also subject to a future revision of appLicable license fees. The motion WaS carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none. Reports The fOLLowing reports were presented: Director of Finance Water Collector Director of Public Service The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approvaL.
