Subject: Bozeman Sanctuary City
Hello. My name is Navarre Larsen and I am a 25 year old Bozeman born and raised man. I am e-
mailing you to implore you to go against making Bozeman a Sanctuary city. I am not racist nor
do I wish harm upon any human being. However, Bozeman has been my home for my entire
life. I have seen it grow many times over. But allowing undocumented immigrants
invulnerability into our community is more of a risk and harm upon us than a benefit. I
understand the empathy in wanting all human life to be happy and not suffer. But our town is
already growing considerably and its hurting us alone just from domestic growth. I see many
families struggling just to stay afloat in Bozeman. It is expensive to live here. We have grown so
much, on top of being a college town that all of the locals encourage people to not come here.
"Bozeman is really gross. You wouldn't like it here." This is something we say to even
Californians wanting to move here. We don't hate them when they do of course, but they are
also people who have legal access to be here. I'm especially all for documented immigrants to
come and work and prosper. I understand that the political climate is a very touchy subject
right now. And I understand the pressure you feel from a select group of people. But please.
Please remember your local Bozeman population. I encourage you to deny becoming a
sanctuary city, not because you are racist. Not because I am racist. Not because you will be
called awful from the very far left wing population and not because you will be called heroes
from the far right, but because we care about each other and need to remain cautious and
diligent with each other. Thank you for your time and I will be seeing you at the hearing if and
when there is one.
-Sincerely,
Navarre Maurius Larsen
