The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the
Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, February 5, 1964 at 1:00
Langohr, City Manager Cutting, Ass't. City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney
Berg and the Clerk.
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the follow-
ing proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by
Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be
approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and
Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Contribution to Civil Defense Program
$500.00
The City Manager reported that he had met with the Board of Gallatin
County Commissioners to further discuss the Civil Defense Program planned
for Gallatin County and the cities and towns within its area and was
informed that the County is desirous of going ahead with the program as
outlined to the City Commission by Mr. George H. Carleton on January 29,
1964. He was also informed that the County Commissioners have had and
understanding with Mr. Carleton that Mr. Carleton's proposed employment
would be only for this fiscal period ending June 30, 1964 at a salary
limited to $1,000.00 plus some additional expense, and that no application
for matching federal funds would be submitted. The City Manager reported
he had advised the County Commissioners tha t in view of the Ci ty' s legal
responsibilities in the Civil Defense Program, and with the understanding
the program in Gallatin County would be administered by the County
Commissioners, he would recommend to the City Commission that the City con-
tribute a lump sum contribution of not to exceed $500.UO, to the Civil

Defense Program, to be paid to the County of Gallatin or as otherwise
requested in writing by the County Commissioners. He did so recommend to
the City Commission. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by
Commissioner Langohr, that a payment, as a contribution to the Gallatin
County Civil Defense Program, in an amount not to exceed $500.00, as reco-
mmended by the City Manager be approved and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner
Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those votin~No, none.
Installation "Dusk-Dawn" 6000 Lumen Yard Light (City Shops)

It was reported tha t there is a defini te nee,d for a 6000 lumen
"Dusk-Dawn" mercury vapor type yard light in the Ci ty shop yards laca ted
at East Lamme and North Rouse. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr,
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the Montana Power Company be authorized

to place the light as requested and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Langohr
and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting ~o, none.

It Was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the
reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the fOlLOW-
ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy
and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none.

Total
The City Manager commented on the claims and stated he had audited them
and found them to be true and lawful claims against the City of Bozeman and
recommended that they be approved and the Director of Pinance directed to issue
warrants in payment. After examination of the claims in detail and checking
against the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by
Commissioner Sedivy, that all claims as presented be approved and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor
Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this
time it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr,
that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and
Commissioner Lsngohr; those voting No, none.
